Robot for automatic cleaning
of mixing drums
As we all know, cleaning mixing tanks is a heavy, time-consuming and unsafe process. KTB Machinery’s robotic cell does the work quickly, predictably and safely and the operator needs to perform minimal physical tasks. One employee can prepare the entire cleaning cycle and check it after cleaning, without having to clean the mixing tank manually.
How the process works
- Start-up of automatic cleaning
The operator walks to the control unit in the safe zone and starts the robot cell. During cleaning, they can inspect and clean the mixing shaft in complete safety. The robotic cleaning process is now carried out automatically - After cleaning
As soon as the light column indicates that the robot is ready, the operator unlocks the mixing vessel and replaces the mixing shaft. - Replacing the clean mixing bowl
The mixing bowl is lifted back onto the mixing shaft holder by the crane, lowered carefully and locked into place. - Ready for the next production step
After releasing the lock, the fully cleaned mixing bowl is placed back onto the pallet.
