Carousel system assembly line
KTB Machinery developed a fully automated carousel system for Barli in Uden to move heavy prefabricated elements safely and in a controlled manner through the production line. Designed for fixed cycle times, high reliability and scalable production of prefabricated homes.
This solution builds on our experience with moving floors: floor sections that can automatically move products in more directions. This technology was further developed into a powerful, modular transport concept for large prefabricated components and 3D units.
1. From design to construction
It all began with a request for a production line to increase production capacity and reduce lead times. Our engineers translated the idea into a workable design. Consmema, our sister company, supplied the necessary trolleys and structures, enabling the construction of a robust and reliable line capable of lifting and moving heavy elements.
2. Testing and assembly
All components were fully assembled and tested in our own workshop. We made sure they functioned correctly before we installed the system at the customer’s site. Our technicians carried out the installation, including commissioning and optimisation of the process and the associated sensors and control systems.
3. Result and impact
The new production line is stable and efficient and has scope for upscaling. The integration of mechanics, software and practical solutions has created a system that adds immediate value to Barli’s production process. Faster assembly of more prefabricated houses. The line is also already prepared for any future expansion.
