Lifting device for ribbed cassette floor
Our lifting device for ribbed cassette floors was designed to safely lift floor panels out of their moulds and transport them to the loading vehicles or desired position. This system will be fully custom-made for ribbed cassette in various sizes, designs and with cut-outs.
The first step in its development was its concept engineering. KTB worked together with the customer to investigate how the lifting process could be automated, combined and carried out safely. The ultimate solution combines vacuum technology, hydraulic clamps and lifting eyes for small products in a single system.

Functionality
The lifting device is designed to remove ribbed cassette floors from the mould swiftly, safely and without damage. The system uses three different gripping systems to be used depending on the floor type.
1. Vacuum system
Used to lift the ribbed cassette floor from the mould to the position where clamps can grip the floor.
The system consists of:
- an electric vacuum pump to generate a vacuum
- a safety buffer tank in the event of vacuum loss (providing extra time)
- pressure gauge for monitoring during lifting
- 5 vacuum pads, movable and rotatable for floors with recesses
- Hydraulic vacuum bar for positioning
2. Hydraulic clamping system
Hydraulic clamping of floors ensures safe, secure connection between the clamp and the product.
- 4 hydraulic clamps
- positive mechanical connection
- to prevent objects slipping during hoisting and crane operations
- ideal for heavy and long items
3. Lifting eyes for small products
For floors that are too small for vacuum and/or clamps:
- additional lifting eyes integrated
- simple and reliable lifting of small ribbed cassette products
