Smart technology for efficient housing construction
The new production line, designed and implemented by KTB Machinery, is to operate as a carousel system. This innovative design will enable Barli to double their housing production capacity in Hall 1.
Flexibility and customisation are crucial for success
The production line will be equipped with state-of-the-art technical solutions, allowing the entire line to advance efficiently. One of the most impressive aspects of the new production line is its flexibility. Each module can be unique with varying dimensions. Andries Peters, director of Barli says: ‘This flexibility allows us to respond quickly to changing market demands. By working smarter, we can aim for a lead time of six working days from the floor to the last skirting board.’

‘KTB Machinery raises the bar in terms of quality and precision. The platform trolleys are designed to carry a maximum load of 20 tonnes with a deflection not exceeding 3 mm. This guarantees the structural strength of each house during the production process,’ says Thomas ten Brinke, Technical Director of KTB Machinery.

We plan to start trial runs in early December, so that the first modules will roll off the line by Christmas. Exciting, but we can’t wait!’ says Andries Peters.
